Chai Port

Chai Port is a container café project in Jayanagar, Bengaluru, thoughtfully designed to create a compact yet inviting tea and café experience within a limited site area of 16 × 10 ft.

The project explores the adaptive use of a shipping container as a functional café space, combining efficient planning with a strong street-facing presence. The design extends beyond the container to create a dedicated outdoor seating area, planned to maximise available space while providing a comfortable and lively ambience for customers.

The exterior combines warm brick tones, natural greenery, soft lighting and contemporary detailing, creating a welcoming façade that connects seamlessly with the surrounding streetscape. The outdoor seating is arranged to encourage casual interaction while maintaining clear circulation and an open feel.

With a project budget of approximately ₹10 lakhs, the design focuses on achieving maximum    visual and functional impact through efficient space planning, thoughtful material selection and a strong brand presence.
