Apartment, Jalahalli

A standard builder's three-bedroom flat, handed over as plain walls and floors. The family wanted somewhere that felt finished rather than assembled, and enough storage that nothing has to live on the floor.

We worked in warm timber against off-white, kept the ceiling detail low and linear so the rooms did not lose height, and built the storage in rather than bringing it in. Living and dining share one continuous run of panelling, which makes a modest floor plate read as a single generous space.
